Businesswoman Vera Muzzillo is the CEO of Proforma, a popular supplier of print and promotional products based in Independence, Ohio. With a degree from Notre Dame, Vera Muzzillo began her career as an independent business consultant with Comerica Bank. After 15 years of working in commercial and investment banking, as well as gaining experience in business consulting, lending, and credit, Vera Muzzillo joined the company founded by her husband, Greg. With a team of more than 750 strategic marketing consultants, Proforma also works with 15,000 product manufacturers, spreading business solutions throughout North America.
When Vera Muzzillo joined Proforma in 2001, the company was thriving and had more than 500 offices. By 2004, 650 offices were in existence, and in 2006, Vera Muzzillo was recognized for her positive impact on the company. Honored as the Woman of Distinction by Counselors Magazine, she was also named, along with her husband, among the Most Influential in the Promotional Product Industry. Another award she can claim is being chosen as one of the Top Ten Women Business Owners of Northeast Ohio by the National Association of Women Business Owners of Cleveland.
In 2010, Vera Muzzillo and her husband enjoyed a successful year. Proforma was ranked #1 Top Distributor by Promo Marketing magazine, #2 Top Distributor by Counselor magazine, and #3 Top Distributor by Print Solutions magazine. Vera and Greg Muzzillo’s most notable achievement of 2010 may be their joint recognition as Counselor’s Person of the Year.
Although she oversees a multi-million dollar company during the day, Vera Muzzillo is just as busy outside of the office. A mother of ten children and two dogs, she has recently found time to plan two weddings. Vera Muzzillo is also on the Advisory Board for Wearables Magazine, and she volunteers for Holy Name and Brother Rice schools.
